Dayton Tattler was published by the Dayton Tattler Co., mainly by Paul Laurence Dunbar [Photo] with the help of Orville Wright, weekly in Dayton, Ohio. The Company also had various staff members including Preston Finley (Associate), Chester B. Broady (Business Manager), Frank J. Mitchell (Assistant). Its local reporters were William Mason and Val. W. Anderson. Dunbar published his early writings including poetry, prose, and semi-journalistic articles in the Tattler. The newspaper lasted for only six weeks. Extant copies are Vol. 1, No. 2, on December 20, 1890 and Vol. 1, No. 3, on December 27, 1890.
